Summer is that you?


Oh today it feels like summer has finally arrived in my house/garden/town and whole Germany. Oh what a bliss.
And with summer and hot weather I’m craving more and more raw(and light) and uncooked meals like salads, fruits, fruits and vegetables. Oh and have I mentioned fruits already? OK serious, I’m super glad I’ll get raspberries, apricots, mirabelles, plums and zucchinis fresh out of the garden.
Thats all I’ve been waiting for the whole winter and gloomy days.

And due to the new summer roll hype on Instagram, I thought about my own version.

This means something extraordinary but also super simple came to my mind. Well its some, grab your favorite fruits, cook quinoa-oatmeal and stuff them all into some rolls.


But as you might know I’m not a pro when it comes to the rolling part, like one million miserable sushi failures can testify it.

Ha, but this time it turned unexpectedly pretty good, yeah there’re really rolls!

And due to this I made a step by step tutorial, so let the pictures flood speak:



So as you can see, my personal highlight roll was definitely:

coconut sugar roasted apricots + slices fresh raspberries and hemp seeds on top

But now here’re are the other ones as a little impression:

…quinoa-oatmeals + slices Avocado + coconut flakes/hemp seeds

….coconut sugar roasted peaches + raspberries + hemp seeds

….slices Apples + grapes + hemp seeds + mint + agave syrup

…. slices Orange + cherries

….coconut sugar roasted necatines + mashed chia raspberry jam + peanut butter

….slices banana + coconut sugar (the good old classics)


What you need:

120 ml Coconut-Rice milk
30 ml Wasser
30 grams Quinoa
40-50 grams Oat
3 tsp Coconut sugar
1 tbsp agave syrup
1 tsp coconut flakes
1 tsp chia seeds(optimal)

rice wraps
favorite fruits
coconut flakes
hemp seeds
agave syrup
peanut butter 


  1. In a small saucepan put the milk and boil on low heat, add the Quinoa and all other ingredients and let shimmer for 20-30 minutes until the Quinoa and Oats have absorbed quite all liquid and the oatmeal is done.
  2. You can change the weighing of oats and quinoa if you rather enjoy more quinoa or less.
  3. Fill a shallow dish with warm water. Add a rice paper sheet, one at a time for 5 to 10 seconds. Remove and place on a flat surface. Towards one end of the rice wrapper, layer your preferred fruit combination. Fold both ends to the center and roll the sheet as tightly as you can without ripping. Continue with remaining sheets and filling.
